You will be expected to support our team of developers in the development and delivery of tools, software and services for our clients in the financial and industrial sectors and create industry leading software components for portfolio construction, risk management and private client advisory.
You are an experienced Java Developer and you can work independently or as part of small groups in the development and delivery of software components and services. Depending on your seniority you define, develop and test high quality features along with developers and support the team in software design, code delivery and maintenance. You will also implement mathematical models and prototypes or web user interfaces, for example. You will be expected to devote time to independent and directed learning, and to gain expertise in finance and technology.
As an experienced Developer you will be responsible for the technical delivery of multiple projects and provide technical leadership to other quant engineers in software design and development. You will liaise with clients and technology partners to identify requirements and define technology architecture. Your mastery of technology allows you to build prototypes quickly to help support business development and to build high quality robust products.
You are confident and articulate and possess excellent presentation skills. Your excellent multi-tasking and time management skills complete your profile and ensure your success.
To be a successful candidate, you must fulfil the following requirements:
University degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Applied Sciences
Minimum 1 year work experience in a quant or finance related field
Excellent knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
Knowledge of any core banking system is a plus e.g. Avaloq
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Language skills: English (fluent) and preferably German (working proficiency)
Solid understanding of financial instruments and their characteristics
Effective time management skills
Eligible to live and work in Switzerland
